How to dress your windows is an important part of its overall design and a lot of thought should go into the style and fabric used for the window of his bedroom treatments.

Drapes and curtains

Valances can be used to smooth the top of the window. They are great if you do not want to cover up a great point of view, but also does not want the window to look too bare. Typically valances are made of fabric, but you can build your form of wood and decorated with an old paint stencilled or go to Tuscany with his country or French design. Friezes fabric can go with almost any decorating theme room depending on the fabric of your choice and can be used in conjunction with sheers to give you a little privacy.

Curtains are an elegant bedroom window treatment. If you have a romantic, French or Victorian theme some heavy drapes in rich fabrics can transform your bedroom into a fit for a queen. Heavy drapes look best in the high windows, but if the short squatty windows as most of the houses built in the 60 – 80, not let that prevent the use of large curtains. You can always keep them closed to hide behind the window and nobody will ever know the difference!

Wooden shutters and blinds

Interior wooden window shutters are a great way to add to the intimacy of their bedroom and can be used alone or with drapes, curtains or valances.

There are 2 styles of window blinds – coffee plantation blinds and shutters.

Plantation shutters cover all windows and blinds that can be opened and closed to allow the light or to provide privacy. These blinds go with a large plantation-style look, look a country or coastal cottage look.

The cafe blinds are the ones that cover only the bottom half of the window and swing open to let light in. They also welcome in a country or a beach-style bedroom and are perfect for an apartment in Paris and style.

Fabric blinds

Fabric blinds add a nice touch to any room and can be decorated and adorned with what you want. Marginal, POM-poms and ribbon are just some of the great ways to make these bedroom window treatments stand out.

Roman blinds work well for kids and informal styles of rooms, such as cottage or beach-style decor. These ringtones sometimes up to expose the window during the day and shoot down at night.

Festoon blinds are swollen with a large amount of tissue. They are very ornate and work best in a dormitory-style romantic as a Victorian, French or Italian reason. Festoon blinds look better in a wide windows and might not be good for small rooms as they may tend to be a bit overwhelming.
